DECLARACION DE ARTISTA

Trabajo sobre todo con Acuarela y tinta sobre papel.

La figura humana, el mar, la zona de encuentro del mar y la tierra han sido las principales motivaciones para mis dibujos y pinturas pero no las únicas . Cualquier paisaje de mi entorno puede cobrar interés y llevarme a empezar un dibujo, pintura y serie.

En todos mis trabajos busco espacios de tensión y de descanso, dos estados opuestos que me interesan.

En las figuras humanas intento encontrar movimiento e interconexión de las formas que se ven dentro del cuerpo producidas por las sombras y las partes. Intento en lo posible expresar también la emoción que la persona o pose me transmite.

Mi dedicación a la danza desde la niñez y también mi actividad como bióloga en el pasado han tenido una fuerte influencia en mi arte que se traduce en la sensibilidad artística al movimientoy la composicion en el espacio de la primera y la capacidad de observación en profundidad de la segunda.

I work mostly with watercolor and ink on paper. Human figures, the ocean and the zone where land and sea meet have been the main motivation for my paintings but not the only ones. Any place of my surroundings can capture my interest and make me start a drawing that leads to a painting and maybe to a series.

In all my works I look for places of tension and places of release, two opposite emotional and physical states that I am interested in.

In my human figure art I try to find movement and interconnection of shapes and shadows within the figure as well as ways of expressing the emotion the person and pose portrayed transmits.

My lifetime work in dance and past work as a biologist have had an influence on my artwork, the artistic sensibility to movement and composition of space of the first and the capacity to look deeply into subject matter of the latter.
